Overview

Are you looking to join or form an early-stage startup and utilise your skills? Are you building an early-stage startup and looking for someone to join your team?

Delivered in partnership with UCL Department of Computer Science, this networking event aims to bring together startup founders looking to expand their team with UCL students and recent graduates interested in joining a startup.

By exhibiting at the event, founders will have the opportunity to connect with individuals with complementary skillsets looking to join a startup team.

UCL students and alumni will be able to explore opportunities at a diverse range of early-stage startups. There will also be the opportunity to meet other attendees interested in forming a startup.

Who it's for

This event is open to:

  • Startups with one (or more) founders who is a UCL student or who graduated from UCL within the past 2 years. You can be working on a very early-stage idea or an established startup, but you must be actively building or growing your startup.
  • UCL students and alumni who graduated from UCL within the past 2 years, looking to join or form an early-stage startup.

What to expect as an exhibiting startup

To take part in this event, startups need to register by 8am on Tuesday, 17 March.

When registering, please provide some information about your startup and evidence of traction. Please also outline the current opportunity/project which you need support with and what skillsets you are looking for to help with this.

You’ll be sent further details about how to set up on the day, during the week commencing 16 March.

You’ll be expected to exhibit for the full duration of the event (4pm to 7pm on 25 March).

What to expect as an attendee

When registering to attend the event as in individual, you’ll need to indicate which skills you have to offer startups, and which industries you’re interested in working in.

Before the event, you’ll be sent an information pack outlining which startups will be exhibiting, what skills they’re looking for, and where they'll be located at the fair. You should read this pack before attending to help identify which startups you’d like to connect with at the fair.

There will also be the opportunity to meet other attendees interested in forming a startup.

You’re welcome to attend for some or all of the event.
