Overview
This 4-hour workshop is designed for everyone who wants to learn how to transform their social media presence into a powerful customer acquisition engine.
During the workshop, you’ll develop a social media marketing strategy, master practical content creation techniques, and learn tactics for building engagement and converting followers into customers.
Who it’s for
This workshop is open to all UCL students, staff, and alumni who graduated from UCL within the past 2 years.
As this is a bootcamp-style workshop, where you’ll be creating different assets, we encourage you to come with a business idea or project in mind.
For help coming up with ideas, come to one of our 2-hour introductory sessions:
- How to come up with a startup idea that solves a real problem
- How to create a side hustle that will succeed
UCL doctoral students will receive two DocSkills training points via InkPath and the Doctoral School for completing this workshop.
What to expect
This is a bootcamp-style workshop where you'll work on your own business idea or project throughout the entire session.
You'll leave with:
- Social media strategy kit, including:
- customised platform selection decision matrix
- 30-day content calendar template
- social profile optimisation checklist for all major platforms
- Content creation resources, including:
- video content framework with hook-story-offer structure
- audio snippet creation guide for podcast clips and voice-overs
- content repurposing flowchart for maximum efficiency
- Growth and measurement tools, including an engagement-tracking spreadsheet template.

- Tactics for growing an engaged follower base without paid promotion
- Community engagement techniques that turn followers into customers
- Framework for analysing social metrics to refine strategy and improve results
