What is knowledge exchange?

Knowledge exchange is a two-way exchange of ideas, evidence and expertise between universities, organisations and communities outside of academia.

Working with businesses, government, not-for-profits and community groups helps academics apply their expertise outside academia, and make a positive impact on people’s lives.

Knowledge exchange also enables us to bring ideas and knowledge into the university, enhancing our teaching and research.

It can involve a wide variety of activities – read about some examples of how UCL staff and students have been transforming lives though knowledge exchange.
