Overview
At this free workshop you’ll learn how to effectively sell the ‘why’ of a given product, service or business.
You’ll study well-known examples of successful brands and their associated value propositions and adverts.
You’ll also explore the importance of ‘mission’ and ‘why’ behind your work, drawing on Simon Sinek’s seminal book and TED talk on this topic: ‘The Power of Why’.
This course is part of our ‘Inspire’ series of courses.
Who it’s for
This workshop is open to UCL students, staff and recent graduates (within 3 years of graduating).
This workshop is for anyone:
- with a keen interest in brands, marketing and how to communicate effectively
- driven by their (social) mission and a clear purpose in their work
- looking to explore and experiment with storytelling and how this links to marketing and business concepts, including value proposition
What to expect
This is an interactive session, built on the principles of ‘learning by doing’.
You’ll engage with well-recognised brands that will help you tell your business (idea) story more effectively through meaningful value exchange.
