This free three-day course is for research students and staff at UCL. It will help you develop entrepreneurial skills to enhance your career.
This workshop will help you recognise and develop the entrepreneurial skills you use in research. You'll explore how these skills can have a broader use and impact - for example, by helping enhance public understanding of your field, engage with business and start your own business.
The course will help you to:
- build and/or develop your own entrepreneurial skill set
- deal with the changing research landscape more confidently, using your entrepreneurial skills
- gain confidence in your own entrepreneurial abilities
You’ll develop your abilities in these five key entrepreneurial traits:
- Personal accountability
- Goal orientation
- Interpersonal skills
Who can attend
This free course is for research students and staff at UCL. This includes:
- doctoral students
- post-doctoral (‘early career’) researchers
- research staff
You’ll need approval from your supervisor to attend the course.
This is a three-day part-time course. You’ll need to attend each of the three days to complete the programme.
You'll also have the opportunity to join an online group coaching session held one week after each course day.
Dates and times
This course will run on 20 February, 27 February and 6 March (Tuesdays from 9.30am to 5pm).
