UCL has been hailed as a “shining example” for supporting student entrepreneurs by the Guardian in an article about whether universities are doing enough to help students start new businesses.
UCL - Producing the UK's brightest self-employed graduates
31 October 2011
UCL has many claims to be one of the UK's leading universities for entrepreneurship. It has the highest proportion of self-employed graduates in the UK, offers arguably the widest range of support services for graduates starting businesses and is part of the University of London, which has produced more millionaires than any other UK institution.
For those that chose to pursue more conventional business routes, the value of the skills still appears to hold. In a recent survey of global business leaders preferences for recruitment UCL was placed twelfth in the world.
