University of Leiden

Leiden University (founded in 1575) is a research-intensive university, housing approximately 18,000 students and 4,000 staff members. Leiden University ranked 75th on the QS World University Rankings and is member of the League of European Research Universities, a partnership with other prominent research universities. The Centre for Terrorism and Counterterrorism seeks to provide a uniquely integrated, interdisciplinary approach to the phenomenon of terrorism. Initiated by the Netherlands National Coordinator for Counterterrorism (NCTB) and Leiden University, the centre contributes to the field of (counter) terrorism research and policy by providing analysis (academic research), higher education on (counter) terrorism, policy advice and dissemination of knowledge to the broader audience.
