Why should you choose a UCL security and crime science degree?
- World-class research facilities. The Jill Dando Institute (JDI), our research arm, brings together 30 research groups, pioneering crime science approaches and developing new security technologies in custom-built spaces such as the UCL Forensic Interpretation Lab, the Crime Science VR Projects Lab, the IoT Lab (Internet of Things) and the JDI Research Lab (Secure Data Facility).
- Industry partnerships and connections. We are proud to work in partnership with world leaders across law enforcement and other governmental agencies. We’ve collaborated on many successful initiatives, including a hot spot policing programme that’s reducing robberies and theft across 13 cities in Uruguay, Argentina and Mexico.
- Real world research impact. Whether we’re setting the world record for the fastest data transmission rate, or helping scale up the manufacturing of the COVID-19 vaccine, the impact of our research continues to be felt all over the planet.
- Study in one of the world’s greatest capital cities. We are located on our Bloomsbury campus, in a district renowned for its academic institutions and history.
- Dedicated careers support. The UCL Careers Guidance team is there to support you throughout your degree and for three years afterwards, maximising your chances of finding a career or academic position suited to your postgraduate qualifications.
