Meet some of the PhD students within the Department of Science, Technology, Engineering and Public Policy (STEaPP).
Nishant Anand
Nishant completed his MBA at the University of Oxford, before starting his PhD at UCL STEaPP in 2019.
Sarah Bebb
Sarah studied Global Environment, Politics and Society MSc at the University of Edinburgh before starting her PhD at STEaPP in 2023.
Nsilo Berry
Nsilo completed his M.S in Material Science and Engineering from Portland State University, before starting his PhD at STEaPP in 2023.
Weijia Ding
Weijia completed an MA in Design from Nanjing University, China, and an MSc in Urban Regeneration from UCL, before starting her PhD in STEaPP in 2020.
Itegbeyogene Ezekiel
Itegbeyogene completed an MSc and PhD in Physics from the University of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa. In 2022, he joined STEaPP to study for his second PhD.
Dzulfikar Furqon
Dzulfikar completed an undergraduate degree at Universitas Indonesia, and an MSc in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from Queen Mary University of London, before starting his PhD at STEaPP in 2022.
Jackie Genova
Jackie completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois, before graduating from STEaPP's MPA programme. She started her PhD at STEaPP in 2022.
Rie Hayashi Matsumoto
Rie completed a BA and MA from the University of Tokyo, prior to joining STEaPP to complete her PhD in 2023.
Veronica Li
Veronica completed both a BSc and a MPhil at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) before joining STEaPP in 2021 to complete her PhD.
Laurent Liote
Laurent completed a BSc in Social Anthropology and an MSc in International Public Policy, both from the London School of Economics (LSE). He started his PhD at STEaPP in 2019.
Chris Moore
Chris completed a BSc in Biological Sciences and an MA in Public Policy and Public Management at the University of East Anglia (UEA), before starting his PhD at STEaPP in 2022.
Wanhao Zhang
Wanhao completed his undergraduate degree in China, before graduating from King's College London with an MSc in Eurasian Political Economy and Energy. He joined STEaPP in 2020 to work on his PhD.
