We are proud to share that Klara Burdova, a second-year PhD student at the UCL Centre for Nature-Inspired Engineering, won this year’s 3-Minute Thesis competition, organised by the UCL Chemical Engineering Researchers’ Society on 18 March.
Klara presented her research on “Gold Nanocluster-Based Antimicrobial Coatings” and impressed the academic panel with her fun and engaging storytelling and her innovative approach to addressing antimicrobial resistance, one of the most pressing challenges in modern medicine.
Many congratulations to Klara for this great achievement!
