We extend our congratulations to Dr Matt Ritchie (top left) and Dr Zhixin Liu (top right), who have been promoted to Professor, and to Dr Alfonso Ruocco, Dr Sara Ghoreishizadeh, and Dr Arsam Nasrollahy Shiraz, who have been promoted to Associate Professor.
These promotions are a recognition of the significant contributions each has made to research, education, and the wider academic community.
Dr Matt Ritchie’s research focuses on machine learning in healthcare, with a particular emphasis on cardiovascular disease and multi-modal data. He was recently appointed a Senior Research Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering. Dr Zhixin Liu leads pioneering work in optical signal processing and communications and was recently awarded an EPSRC Open Fellowship to advance optical frequency comb technology for 6G communications and healthcare technologies.
