  • Dr M. Adil Riaz presents at the 76th ISE Meeting in Germany & Grotthuss 2025 Conference in Lithuania

CNIE Research Fellow, Dr M. Adil Riaz, delivered an oral presentation at the 76th Annual Meeting of the International Society of Electrochemistry (ISE 2025), held in the historical city of Mainz, Germany from 7 to 12 September 2025. The event brought together the global electrochemistry community and marked the largest ISE meeting to date, with over 2,300 participants.

Dr Adil Riaz presented in the Kongress-Saal, the main hall of the venue, as part of Symposium 6: Hydrogen production and conversion – Advances in water electrolysis and fuel cells. His talk sparked strong interest among attendees, which was focused on his research work on gas bubble dynamics into water electrolysers, carried out at the UCL CNIE, Department of Chemical Engineering, with funding and support from TOTAL Energies. The meeting featured world-leading plenaries, including an insightful lecture by Prof Hubert Girault, who is also our collaborator in this project.

Prior to this, Dr Adil Riaz also delivered a talk recently at the Grotthuss 2025 Conference, held in Vilnius, Lithuania from 04 to 06 June 2025. The event was organised by the Centre for Physical Sciences and Technology (FTMC) and sponsored by the International Society of Electrochemistry (ISE), commemorating the 220th anniversary of Baltic-German Scientist Theodor von Grotthuss’s first theory of electrolysis.
