On 16 October 2025, the IChemE London & Southeast Coast Young Members Group, together with guests from academia and industry, visited UCL East, Stratford Campus, for an inspiring tour of the Manufacturing Future Lab (MFL), Advanced Propulsion Lab (APL), and other state-of-the-art facilities at the Precision Fabrication Workshop.

Many thanks to Dr Solomon Bawa for organising the visit and to Professor Gary Lye for the insightful introduction to UCL East’s innovative research environment.

Special appreciation goes to Dr Vicky Chen, Simon Dewas, Sydney Wieckowski, Dr Erick Mota, and Jacob Danks for leading the lab tours. Participants were truly inspired by the pioneering technologies shaping the future of manufacturing and chemical engineering.

Dr Sakiru Badmos, Chair of the Forum, also extends his appreciation to all members who attended.
