Vax Hub wins IHE Community Engagement Award

Formed in April 2018, the Future Vaccine Manufacturing Research Hub (Vax-Hub) is an academic collaboration led by UCL Biochemical Engineering and the University of Oxford. The hub aims to improve public health, develop skills, benefit national economies, boost the vaccine pipeline, impact policy and carry out public engagement. This award is a recognition of the fantastic work the team has done in the field of public engagement.

Stephen Morris, Ludovica Vaiarelli and Salome De Sa Magalhaes have led this work for The Vax Hub. Through their work with students in places such as Newham Collegiate Sixth Form Centre, Langdon Park School and North Hertfordshire College, they have raised the profile of biochemical engineering and vaccine manufacture.

Stephen and the team would like to thank everyone in the department who has supported their work:
