Engineering Cup 2023 – and the winner is …
19 May 2023
On Tuesday 16 May 2023, PhD teams representing 4 departments in the faculty competed to win the Engineering Cup (and the right to boast about it until next year)!
The 2023 winning department is … UCL Chemical Engineering!
Top teams
Three teams really stood out with their amazing performance.
The top team for 2023, bringing the victory to UCL Chemical Engineering is the Fantastic Five, scoring an impressive 12.5 points! Congratulations to Matteo, Barbara, Valerio, Asimina and Prince for their amazing performance.
The team winning the prize for best team name is none others than the 2022 winners from UCL Biochemical Engineering, Boozy Basement Biochemist.
One team really stood out for their enthusiasm and energy, winning the prize for most enthusiastic team: Special engineering, representing UCL Mechanical Engineering!
And finally, congratulations to the CEGE Gems who demonstrated the best teamwork!
The Games
Students competed in 4 games throughout the afternoon, followed by a photo challenge around campus.
We hope all participants had a lovely time - we have brilliant pictures from the scavenger hunt and will be sharing some of them on Instagram very soon.
Thank you to everyone who took part, and to UCL Security Science Research and Training (SECReT) Society, UCL Chemical Engineering Researchers Society (CHeERS) and UCL Mechanical Engineering Researchers Society (MERS) for their hard work planning and running the games!
