During a series of five invited lectures, guest speakers from industry shared their insights on how Molecular Engineering and Nanotechnology provides solutions to their challenges.
Meet our guest speakers:
Dr Maria F. Jimenez Solomon and Dr Martin Crossman from Unilever (UK) showed us how to use "Colloid Science to Deliver a Clean Future."
Dr Mauro Moglianetti from HiQ-Nano (Italy) shared with us his journey as co-founder and CEO of the startup iBlue HiQ-Nano
Dr Rachel Dorin, founder and CEO of TeraPore Technologies, Inc. (USA) explained how to use molecular self-assembly to create record-breaking membranes for bioseparation processes
Dr Maik Scherer, team leader at Papierfabrik Louisenthal GmbH (GER), embarked with us to learn more about high volume nanotechnology involved in banknote production
And finally, Dr Benjamin Schmidt-Hansberg, senior research engineer at BASF (GER) demonstrated the relevance of molecular engineering for electrocatalyst coatings in fuelcell applications.
We would like to thank all our guest speakers and participants for joining our Nanotechnology in Practice – Industry Lecture Series. These events were coordinated by Dr Stefan Guldin, Associate Professor & Head of Adaptive and Responsive Nanomaterials Group and Mark Bernardes, Communications and Marketing Officer at UCL Chemical Engineering
