TRANSNET is a £6 million Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) funded research programme. Its mission is to create an adaptive, intelligent optical network, providing capacity when and where it is needed, transforming next-generation digital communication systems. The programme is a collaboration between the Optical Networks Group (ONG) at University College London, Aston University and the University of Cambridge.
