Professor Nick Tyler, Director of the Centre for Transport Studies in the Department of Civil, Environmental and Geomatic Engineering at UCL, said: "This is a great example of bringing a strong multidisciplinary team together to help TfL ensure that London's buses are as safe as possible for London bus drivers and those that travel on them. Computational fluid dynamics, air quality engineering, microbiology and transport engineers from CEGE have modelled the effects of different designs of protective screens for bus drivers in order to create a safer environment for them."
