This award recognises early career researchers who have contributed towards delivering research impact at UCL as part of acceleration activities.
The award was presented for his work on Bioactive Aerogels with Professor Marc-Olivier Coppens. The material which Niall helped to develop and commercialise has the potential to improve dental health for millions and is currently being used for bone grafting and other biomedical applications.
