The aim of this half day meeting is to showcase the latest development and capabilities of UCL researchers and UK companies in Energy storage to enable future team building in response to wholesale changes in the energy storage research and commerce that are happening in the UK.

What is covered?

Anything under the “energy storage” banner is covered, advanced materials for batteries, supercaps, diagnostics, methods of imaging or characterisation, investigations into battery failure, to public policy, smart grids, etc.

What does the event look like?

The event will consist of short talks from key UCL and industry attendees on issues related to energy storage (optional lab tour of energy-related facilities and lunch for industry only). For this particular event, there has been a recent announcement from the government on Electric Vehicles, therefore, this year there will be a focus on this. However, this does not exclude other applications from being presented. There will also be a series of short flash presentations to allow a wider cross-section of capabilities to be presented, for example in UCL or other technology providers or specialists in expertise or techniques which may be relevant to energy storage research.

The event will include and close with a poster session and wine/cheese in which there will be an opportunity to network with colleagues. It is hoped that a short booklet of attendees will be produced before the day, so all attendees are asked to fill the short proforma which will be provided to all attendees on the day. If you have registered, can we thus ask you to fill in and return the Networking Proforma to us.
