This was in recognition of the ‘achievements of the two FP7 projects, CO2PipeHaz and CO2QUEST resulting in the development of the underpinning science and technologies required to help understand and demonstrate the safety and environmental impact of CCS as a viable and cost-effective technology for mitigating the impact of climate change’.
