Congratulations to Dr Marco Marques who, with support from Nicolas Szita, has won a £4k BBSRC grant on Integrated Microfluidic Process for the Production of Chiral Amines: Scaling-up. This will enable them to extend ongoing work in their BBSRC-funded ERA-IB MicroTools project and interact with the University of Slovenia which is very active in the area of microreactors and micro liquid-liquid extraction.
The award falls under BBSRC’s ISIS programme (International Scientific Interchange Scheme) where additional travel and subsistence funds can be won to stretch existing funds a bit further. This, and similar funds, are a great way to stretch out existing funding and provide opportunities for first grant wins for PDRAs.
