Alissa Parmenter – UCL Medical Physics & Biomedical Engineering | I am a PhD student in Mechanical Engineering and Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering. My research uses synchrotron x-ray imaging to investigate the biomechanics of the spine across multiple spatial scales. I run art and music workshops for a charity supporting adults with learning disabilities and I am passionate about making science more accessible. |

Carmen Salvadores Fernandez – WEISS | I am a PhD student at the Nanoengineered Systems Lab of UCL and the WEISS centre, with Prof. Manish K. Tiwari as my supervisor. My research focuses on the design of advanced nanocomposites for flexible electronics, tactile systems and monitoring devices for healthcare applications, including operative birth |

Beatrice Taylor – UCL Computer Science | I’m a PhD student in the Centre for Medical Image Computing, and the Dementia Research Centre. My current work is on developing mathematical and computational methods to understand how symptoms evolve in people living with dementia. Adam Szmul – WEISS | I am a Senior Research Fellow at Wellcome/EPSRC Centre for Interventional and Surgical Sciences (WEISS), where I work on computational image analysis in radiotherapy. I am particularly interested in applications of machine learning and artificial intelligence in adaptive radiotherapy. These techniques, combined with modern imaging methods, could help us addressing day-to-day changes in patient’s anatomy and ultimately provide more accurate treatment resulting in better outcomes. |

Carlos Navarrete Leon – UCL Medical Physics & Biomedical Engineering | I am a PhD Student in Medical Physics and Bioengineering. My research focuses on developing compact and cost-effective solutions for multi-contrast X-ray imaging in healthcare and industry contexts. I am interested in engaging with policymakers and businesses for impact-driven innovation, and I am invested in bringing scientific research to underrepresented communities in STEM. |

Hugo Layard Horsfall – WEISS | I am a Neurosurgery Trainee at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, and Honorary Research Fellow in Robotics and AI at Wellcome / EPSRC Centre for Interventional and Surgical Sciences (WEISS), University College London. I am interested in the clinical translation of neurotechnology to improve lives of patients with neurological disabilities. |

Charlotte Maughan Jones – UCL Medical Physics & Biomedical Engineering | I am a qualified equine veterinary surgeon turned medical physics researcher within the field of advanced x-ray imaging. I am a passionate science communicator and spend a lot of time as a ‘STEM ambassador’, a public facing NHS volunteer and most recently was awarded an ABSW media fellowship. |

Elze Porte – UCL Mechanical Engineering | I study how advanced functional materials can improve wearer comfort of prosthetic limbs by, for example, keeping the skin-prosthetic interface cool and dry during use. I previously worked in Soft Robotics as a Postdoc at Yale University and in Biotribology as a PhD student at Imperial College London. |

Liam Collins-Jones – UCL Medical Physics & Biomedical Engineering | I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Medical Physics & Biomedical Engineering. My work focusses on developing & applying optical techniques to image the infant brain. My research ambition is to develop technologies to image the brain to high levels of precision in environments that are unprecedented in research, shedding light on how the brain functions during natural behaviour. |

Giada Brianza – UCL Computer Science | I am a user experience researcher and completed my PhD. in Human-Computer Interaction at the University of Sussex (UK). My expertise sits at the intersection of clinical psychology (BSc), neuropsychology (MSc), computer science (PhD), and design (PhD). I am currently a research fellow in the Department of Computer Science and I'm working on a longitudinal field study to develop olfactory digital training within people's houses. |

Arsalan Marghoub – UCL Mechanical Engineering | I am a Post-doctoral Research Fellow at the department of Mechanical Engineering. At the moment, my research is mainly focused on investigating the role of external loads on the skull growth at the early stages of development. It involves various imaging and material characterisation methods combined with computer simulations. The aim is to improve the management of a medical condition called Craniosynostosis. |

Rebecca Baker – UCL Institute of Cardiovascular Science | My work focuses on the development of magnetic resonance imaging methods to quantify sodium levels in the body. By non-invasively measuring sodium concentration in tissues such as muscle, skin and kidney, we aim to improve diagnosis and treatment of patients with diseases that result in a salt imbalance within the body. |

Atheer Awad – UCL School of Pharmacy | I am a Research Fellow at UCL School of Pharmacy. My work is focused on fostering novel digital healthcare technologies, such as 3D printing, to modernise treatment pathways. To date, I received several prestigious awards and honours, including Forbes 30 Under 30, FIPWiSE Rising Star and MIT’s Innovator Under 35. |

Katherine Wang - UCL Mechanical Engineering | I am a biomedical scientist and bioengineer, with a passion for developing solutions for under-met medical needs. Currently I am a UKRI funded Zinc Healthy Aging Catalyst Awardee, where I am developing a wearable MedTech garment to help alleviate the symptoms of lymphoedema after cancer surgery. I hold a PhD in Bioengineering and Medical Devices, MSc in Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering, and a BSc in Biomedical Sciences. |

Diana Marta Cruz de Oliveira – UCL Mechanical Engineering | I am a Research Fellow in Mechanical Engineering, working on the development of image-based models of placenta blood flow transport to predict, diagnose and monitor pregnancy complications. My research ambition is to develop healthcare technologies which can potentially inform clinicians and surgeons when monitoring patients or planning surgery. |

Peter Woodward-Court – UCL Institute of Health Informatics | I'm a clinical doctor currently undertaking a PhD at UCL in AI-enabled healthcare systems. My research is looking at the role of synthetic data in augmenting image classification models, which could be used to improve performance of AI decision making tools in the clinical environment. |
