Women in Biopharma Leadership Workshop
For women who are transitioning from academia to the biopharma industrial sector
WOMEN LEADERS IN BIOPHARMA
Engage in reflective activities and roundtable discussions to explore pathways to leadership roles in the biopharmaceutical industry.
EVENT OVERVIEW
This workshop was organised to support women working in junior academic positions with their transition into biopharma and work towards leadership positions in this industry. This event will include talks from women working in entry-level, senior management-level, and C-suite positions to develop gene therapies, new biological technologies, and contract development and manufacturing organisations for advanced medicines. Career reflection activities will involve exploration of pathways to leadership roles for various biopharma careers through a writing exercise and a roundtable discussion. The key take-aways from the leadership workshop are:
➢ Recognise distinct paths to biopharma leadership roles.
➢ Explore ideas for personal journeys to leadership roles in biopharma.
➢ Share ideas for navigating and developing skills.
➢ Networking to form new collaborations in the biopharma sector.
