Joel Lecture Series | Leonardo and Laparoscopy: Medical imaging applied to heritage

Over the past twenty years Prof Adam Gibson has been a leader in translating medical imaging and analysis techniques to other fields.
In this talk he will take us on a journey spanning more than 2000 years, looking at subjects from human disease to understanding the universe.

The Joel Chair is the oldest established Chair in Medical Physics in the world. It is currently held by Prof Robert Speller of UCL Medical Physics & Biomedical Engineering.
Meet the Expert

Adam has a dual appointment as Professor of Medical Physics and Professor of Heritage Science. His heritage science group applies imaging techniques to aspects of heritage imaging with the UCL Institute for Sustainable Heritage, of which he is Deputy Director.
