UoL Taster Days: Building with Biology: Introduction to Biochemical Engineering

In this course we'll explore the fundamentals of building with biology: using case studies of how Biochemical Engineers are helping to develop sustainable solutions to real-world problems using synthetic biology.We will introduce the UCL Pilot Plant: how process engineering and R&D in this area can impact how pharmaceuticals will be made in future.

This session will be presented by Dr Steffi Frank and the UCL iGEM team.

This course is particularly suitable for students who would like a course where they can combine maths with sciences, or who are interested in a career in the growing sector of biotechnology.
