Dr James Allen is a postdoctoral researcher at UCL Biochemical Engineering using synthetic biology and automation to generate stabilised E. coli strains for the production of industrial chemicals. James will be hosting a quick-fire 15-minute webinar from the labs here at UCL Biochemical Engineering and you're warmly invited to join. UCL Biochemical Engineering was the first such department in the UK and we're the only UK university to teach the subject of biochemical engineering in a dedicated Advanced Centre for Biochemical Engineering (ACBE). What does this mean? It means our students enjoy a unique experience of learning in facilities similar to those in the industry, just scaled down.
