Virtual talk: How research on optical networks is helping the planet
Join Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering (EEE) lecturer, Dr. Alejandra Beghelli, to explore the links between optical communications and sustainability in a quickfire talk.

In this lightning lecture led by Dr. Alejandra Beghelli we will discuss why optical fibre is a greener choice than copper to build our fast-speed communication networks and what researchers within the Optical Networks Group (ONG) at University College London (UCL) are doing to make our communication networks more sustainable.
A 20minute lecture will be followed by a 10minute Q&A.
Open to all, registration required.
