Engineering medical technology: How do Fitbits, Apple Watches and mobile apps measure your heart rate?
This lecture is designed for students who are thinking about or in the process of applying to an undergraduate university degree programme. It is open to the public, and anyone may join by registering below.
In this online webinar, Dr Terence Leung will explain how engineering is being applied to create solutions in healthcare and medicine. Biomedical Engineering is an exciting field that is helping to innovate new medical tools, technology and devices, and Terence will demonstrate how everyday technology is being applied to measure pulse rate and track heart health.
