Abstract:
The world is at the transition from conventional fossil fuel-based piston engine technology to the electrification of transport and use of sustainable fuels. Electrochemical technologies (batteries, fuel cells, etc) are poised to be at the heart of this revolution. This talk will cover the comprehensive course offerings and cutting-edge research taking place in this area in Chemical Engineering at UCL.

He obtained his Ph.D. (Chemical Engineering) from the University of Texas at Austin in 2015 and received undergraduate training in Chemical Engineering at the University of Edinburgh. Before coming to UCL, he was a post-doctoral researcher at Argonne National Laboratory/Northwestern University. His research focuses on the discovery, synthesis and characterization of materials for energy conversion and storage.
