Student support during Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak

Much of the world is adapting to new ways of working and interacting as we deal with the implications of COVID-19. Each student’s experience of the current, rapidly evolving, situation will be different. You may be worried about contracting the illness yourself, or be close to someone who has contracted the virus or who is at particular risk. You may be concerned about the implications for your accommodation, for your visa, or simply for the continuation of your academic studies, on which you have been working so hard for so long. Whatever your concerns, we realise that information is crucial, as is support.

The main source of information to which you should turn is https://www.ucl.ac.uk/coronavirus. There you will find links to the latest sources of advice and support about specific issues, as well as answers to the most frequently asked questions.

We are working hard to deliver tuition and assessment to you remotely, to the high standards required of a UCL degree. Alternative assessments to examinations take time to design. Please bear with us; we will give full details of the assessment structure, format and timetable shortly.

For individual student advice and support for all students across all programmes within the department please contact:

  • Dr Hide Kurebayashi, h.kurebayashi@ucl.ac.uk,  Undergraduate Tutor (Academic lead)
  •  eee-ug-admin@ucl.ac.uk, Undergraduate Team (Professional Services)

Extenuating Circumstances

All applications for Extenuating Circumstances (EC) mitigation must now be made via this online form. Please read the instructions and advice on the form carefully. If you need help with the EC process, please contact one of the people named above.
