UCL EPSRC Landscape Award (UELA)
- About: This award provides studentships for home and overseas students completing research on a pre-approved project. For 2026/27, a total of 50 studentships were made available across relevant disciplines
- Value: Fees, stipend and Research Training Support Grant
- Key dates: Applications are now closed for 2026. Typically, applications are open from late October to January

Research Excellence Scholarship (RES)
- About: This award provides studentships for exceptional students from any country to undertake doctoral research. For 2026/27, a total of 40 studentships were made available across UCL

- Key dates: Applications are now closed for 2026. Typically, applications are open from November to January

Research Opportunity Scholarship (ROS)
- About: UCL’s Research Opportunity Scholarship is for home students only and aims to address the under-representation of Black, Asian and minority ethnic postgraduate research students at UCL. For 2026/27, a total of 6 studentships were made available across UCL
- Value: Fees, stipend and research costs
- Key dates: Applications are now closed for 2026. Typically, applications are open from November to January

China Scholarships Council (CSC)
- About: The CSC provides bursaries to students from China coming to study in the UK. Awards are given to students whose projects align with the CSC’s priorities. At UCL, the CSC is linked to Dean’s Prize awards with the Dean’s Prize paying fees and the CSC paying a stipend.
- Value: Full tuition fees and stipend
- Key dates: Applications are now closed for 2026. Typically, applications are open from November to January. Please note that students applying for CSC must have submitted an application to UCL-ROS.
