The Tim Elson Memorial Fund
The Tim Elson Memorial Fund is awarded to undergraduate year 1 students.
The award is based on financial hardship and household income, and is intended to help those that have encountered specific and unforeseen financial difficulties (evidence of hardship is required).
Key information
Value: A one-off payment that is proportional to the UCL Bursary you are eligible for. The value of the bursary depends on income as assessed by UCL and as per the UCL’S main Undergraduate Bursary Scheme:
For Chemical Engineering, the values are as follows:
Household income:
- Less than or equal to £25,000 - £500 cash bursary
- More than £25,000 and less than or equal to £37,000 - £400 cash bursary
- More than £37,000 and less than or equal to £42,875 - £300 cash bursary
Available to: Eligible students currently enrolled on an undergraduate programme in Chemical Engineering in year 1 in the Academic Year 2024/25 onwards.
