Student Bursary Schemes
The schemes offer support to academically strong students from groups historically under-represented in science and engineering careers in the UK, to allow them to pursue a Chemical Engineering degree at UCL to diversify the graduate talent pool through promoting participation and equal opportunity.

Undergraduate
The Tim Elson Memorial Fund - Applications are now closed
The Tim Elson Memorial Fund is awarded to undergraduate year 1 students. The award is based on financial hardship and household income, and is intended to help those that have encountered specific and unforeseen financial difficulties (evidence of hardship is required).

Robert Le Rossignol Undergraduate Bursary - Applications are now closed
The Robert Le Rossignol UG Bursary is awarded to a deserving first year undergraduate student and is renewable for a further two years subject to the student’s satisfactory academic performance.

Chemical Engineering Postgraduate Taught Financial Need Bursary - 31st May 2025
The department PGT Financial Need Bursary is awarded to chemical engineering postgraduate taught students. The award is based on financial hardship and household income, and is intended to help those that have encountered specific and unforeseen financial difficulties (evidence of hardship is required).

Chemical Engineering Postgraduate Taught Academic Excellence Scholarship - 31 May 2025
The department will award the Academic Excellence Scholarship to deserving students from each of our five postgraduate taught programmes.

Students from East London who have applied for one of the following chemical engineering programmes at UCL East may be eliigble to apply for the UCL East London Scholarship.

Dennis Rooke Post-graduate Research Bursary - Applications are now closed
The Dennis Rooke PGR Bursary is awarded to a deserving first year post-graduate research student and is renewable for a further two years subject to the students’ satisfactory academic performance.

H. Walter Stern Scholarship - Applications are now closed
From 2024/25 the H. Walter Stern Scholarship will contribute towards the UCL Research Opportunity Scholarship. The UCL's Research Opportunity Scholarship (UCL-ROS) is intended to support BAME postgraduate research degree students.
