Meet the team who work at UCL’s SWIFT (Smart, Whole-process, Integrated, Flexible Technologies) facilities

Researchers in UCL Biochemical Engineering Pilot Plant

Practical activities at SWIFT Bioprocessing are led by Dr Leonardo Rios, who serves as the dedicated academic lead. The team also includes technical lead, Yassin Amraoui and Strategic Alliance Manager, Dr Olivia Phoenix.

There is further support from up to 25 different academics and researchers with expertise ranging from biocatalysis, enzyme discovery, cellular agriculture, cell and gene therapy, downstream processing, digitalisation, waste valorisation, techno economics and life cycle analysis.
