Henrique Buglia, aPhD student from EEE’s Optical Networks Group (ONG), has been awarded the highly competitive IEEE Photonics Society Graduate Student Scholarship for 2024. This scholarship is granted to exceptional PhD students pursuing advanced research in the field of photonics, a specialised area of study focused on the science and application of light.

The IEEE Photonics Society Graduate Student Scholarship recognizes only 10 outstanding recipients worldwide each year, selected for their academic excellence, innovative research contributions, and potential for future impact in the field.
