Dr Juliet Starbuck

Juliet completed her first degree in Sport Science at Brighton Polytechnic. She then went on to become a physical education and English teacher and taught in West Sussex and Surrey schools. She subsequently returned to education, completing her postgraduate diploma in psychology at Royal Holloway, University of London, and taught special needs children in Hampshire. Following this, Juliet completed her professional training at the Institute of Education, University of London in 1999. She then worked as an educational psychologist in West Sussex.

Juliet completed her CPD Doctorate in Educational Psychology at UCL in 2008. She worked for five and a half years as a senior educational psychologist with West Sussex Youth Offending Service. She then became Parenting Commissioner for West Sussex, and then the Think Family Commissioner for West Sussex. She has presented at national and international conferences on restorative justice, youth crime prevention, and parenting. Juliet has an extensive knowledge of how best to support vulnerable children and families. She is currently the Director of Connect to Change Ltd. Juliet's company offers psychological and consultative support to children, schools and families. She offers also supports organisations who work with vulnerable families.
