Dr Alec de Sausmarez

Having completed a psychology degree in 2013, Alec worked in both secondary and specialist settings in Oxfordshire and Wokingham. Alec then completed his Doctorate in Child, Educational and Community Psychology (DEdPsy) at the University of Exeter in 2018, whilst on placement in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead (RBWM).

Alec has worked as an Educational Psychologist in the London Borough of Lambeth since 2018, where he works with a range of professionals on the Lambeth ADHD Strategy Group. He works with the Sickle Cell team at Kings College London, providing bespoke support for children in Lambeth. He also supports delivery of the Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA) program and is leading a project which involves the development of a within school role called the ‘Digital Resilience Coach’, supporting schools to manage the risk and opportunities surrounding social media use.

Alec supervises the placements of first year trainees during their professional educational psychology training at Lambeth
