Understanding the role of teachers and technology in schools

At the heart of the ESRC Education Programme are a cohort of nine research projects exploring two broad thematic areas in education:

• teaching and learning, focusing on the role of teachers, their recruitment, retention and professional development
• the uses of technology in teaching and learning.

The research projects are also exploring new ways of working in partnership on questions that matter in different parts of the UK.
