Working in the UK Government Economics Service for Ofgem I had my dream job, but recognised that I needed to deepen my knowledge of economics in order to progress in my career.
The UCL Economic Policy programme offered the ideal blend of theoretical and applied economics. Importantly I was able to choose 4 courses from a wide range to tailor the MSc to my learning needs and desires.
The programme was academically very challenging and I now have the confidence to call myself a professional economist. It enabled me to get a new role with a UK regulator where I have needed to use microeconomic theory in particular. Undertaking an empirical dissertation has given me a wealth of practical analytical tools that I have used in my work.
