Requirements for students from groups that are under represented at UCL

UCL is committed to widening access to higher education. We seek to recruit and retain the academically brightest students who will thrive in the rigorous teaching and learning environment at UCL.

Students from groups that are under represented at UCL might be eligible for the Access UCL Scheme. Check eligibility and conditions at the Access UCL Scheme. 

The minimum requirement for students eligible for the  Access UCL Scheme are:

  • A*AB at A2 level in the first sitting, to include grade A* in Mathematics.

or

  • 38 points overall with a score of 18 in the three Higher Level subjects, including grade 7 in Higher Level Mathematics.  UCL will accept either Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches or Mathematics: Applications and Interpretation at Higher Level.
