Dr Hyejin Ku and Professor Uta Schoenberg awarded British Academy Mid-Career Fellowships

28 May 2021

Hyejin Ku and Uta Schoenberg

Dr Hyejin Ku and Professor Uta Schoenberg from UCL’s Department of Economics and the Centre for Research and Analysis of Migration (CReAM) have both been awarded the British Academy Mid-Career Fellowship

The fellowship supports outstanding individual researchers and communicators who will promote public engagement and understanding of the humanities and social sciences. The awards allow the Mid-Career Fellows to focus on a major piece of research and to communicate their work to a wider audience, by obtaining time away from teaching and administration commitments.

Dr Ku has been awarded the fellowship for her project: Global Knowledge Production and Higher Education Reform in China.

Professor Schoenberg has been awarded the fellowship for her project: Knowledge Spillover and Individual Careers.

This year the British Academy has appointed 28 new Mid-Career Fellows, whose research areas span the humanities and social sciences.
