UCL Economics academics promoted to Professor

Frederic Malherbe, Gabriella Conti and Vincent Sterk have been promoted to Professor in the Department of Economics at UCL.

We are very pleased to announce that three of our Department’s academics have been promoted to Professor from 1 October 2021.

Frederic Malherbe

Fred Malberbe
Fred joined the Department in 2018 and currently focuses his research on financial intermediation, banking regulation, macroeconomics and political economy. He is also the Centre for Finance Director and the MSc Finance Co-Director.

Gabriella Conti

conti
Gabriella researches health economics, the economics of human development, and biology and economics. She is Chair of the Athena Swan Committee and joined the Department in 2016.

Vincent Sterk

Sterk
Vincent joined UCL in 2011 as Assistant Professor and became Associate Professor in 2018. He is currently Deputy Head of the Department of Economics. His research focuses on macroeconomics, firm dynamics, business cycles, and monetary policy.
