Cloda Jenkins appointed to UKRN expert panel

Department of Economics Professor and Careers Tutor, Cloda Jenkins has been appointed to the United Kingdom Regulators Network (UKRN) as a member of the Expert Advisory Panel.

The UKRN has announced the appointment of four new members of its Expert Advisory Panel including University College London (UCL) academic, Cloda Jenkins. An expert in regulatory economics, Cloda will be acting as an independent advisor to the UKRN CEO, staff team and the members’ CEOs’ Group. She'll also provide feedback and challenge to the project teams.

The other new members of the expert advisory panel are, Mick McAteer, Co Director of the Financial Inclusion Centre; Suzanne Rab, a barrister at Serle Court Chambers and Helen Undy, Chief Executive of the Money and Mental Health Policy Institute. 

Cloda Jenkins is a Professor (Teaching) in the Economics Department at UCL, Associate Director for the UCL Centre for Teaching and Learning Economics (CTaLE). She has worked as a regulatory economist since 1997, providing advice and training to European companies and regulators in the energy, post, transport, and water sectors. In addition to many advisory roles she was Head of Ofgem’s review of energy network regulation (RPI-X@20) between 2008 and 2010.

The UKRN brings together regulators from the UK’s utility, financial and transport sectors and works to facilitate cooperation and communication between their members to promote better outcomes for consumers and the economy.
