In his talk ‘From Brexit to Trade War – How techniques you learnt at university are applied to the City of London and Beyond’, Rush will discuss the application of economic methods and thinking in order to better understand contemporary events and macroeconomic policymaking.
Jamie Rush is the Chief European Economist for Bloomberg Economics in London. An experienced macroeconomist, he has worked in the United Kingdom Office for Budget Responsibility, the New Zealand Treasury as well as Her Majesty’s Treasury. He has extensively written about the Eurozone and the impact of shocks such as Brexit and the recent Coronavirus outbreak on European economies.
