Maxillofacial Medicine & Surgery Department

oral surgery

This department brings together topics and units with often common clinical and academic goals. This ensures that postgraduates are able to receive in some instances common teaching, for example on aspects of systemic disease, clinical governance and ethical clinical care as well as supervision of collaborative research. The department has a strong track record in effective delivery of education of each of the three subject areas and postgraduates have gone on to senior posts within each specialty within the UK or across the globe.

The department comprises Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Oral Medicine and Special Care Dentistry.
