ORE Part 2: Dental Manikin Practice

This one-day course allows you to spend the full day practicing your skills for the ORE Part 2 Dental Manikin examination while teaching staff are on hand for advice and demonstration.

Course Content

Aims and objectives

The course allows participants a full day of practicing their skills in order to build their confidence in preparation for the ORE Part 2 Dental Manikin examination.  There is no lecture component, but participants are under constant supervision of skilled staff who are on hand to answer questions, offer advice, and give individual demonstrations.  The staff-to-participant ratio of 1:5 allows the course to be tailored to individual needs.

Anticipated outcomes

After attending this course, participants should be able to assess in which areas they need to improve and reinforce their practice at home before sitting the examination. You may choose either an Endo exercise or other components. 

Quality controls

All teachers on the Institute's courses are experienced professionals. All participants are asked to submit written feedback via a questionnaire at the end of the course, which is used to monitor the course's quality of teaching and value for money.

Teaching and assessment

This is a skills revision course with no lecture component. Participants are under constant supervision with staff available to give advice and demonstration.

Please note that one molar and one central incisor Frasaco endodontic teeth are provided per participant.

Content

Participants can spend the full day practicing their choice of elements from the Dental Manikin exam.

Who this course is for

This course is for overseas qualified dentists who have already sat the ORE Part 1 examination.

For maximum benefit, you should also have taken our ORE Part 2: Dental Manikin revision course.
