Research Summary
My current research interests are in the general area of materials modelling, with specific applications to mineral physics.
I am particularly interested in the Earth’s core and its chemical interactions, which I am studying with theoretical methods based on the formulation of quantum mechanics known as density functional theory. I am also interested in material design, with particular applications to graphene, heterogeneous catalysis, and hydrogen storage.
