This module develops research skills in designing, implementing and presenting the results from an independent research project

This MSc provides an introduction to geohazards, research methods and field techniques, together with advanced courses in seismology, volcanology, hydrogeological hazards and meteorology.

OUTCOMES

The independent project will allow students to pursue a particular topic in geophysical hazards, to critically evaluate available data (from a combination of desktop studies and voluntary fieldwork) and to identify potential solutions to hazard assessment and mitigation.
