This MSc provides an introduction to geohazards, research methods and field techniques, together with advanced courses in seismology, volcanology, hydrogeological hazards and meteorology.

OUTCOMES

The course will provide students with an understanding of the modelling of meteorological and hydrogeological hazards, including landslides.

Topics include: analysis of climate and meteorological hazard variability, statistical and dynamic modelling of climate and meteorological hazards; forecast verification; flood estimation; droughts; the dynamics of landslides; and forecasting slope failure.
